Popping to farm shops whilst on a farm stay

If you are lucky enough to be taking a farm holiday why not add to the experience by popping in to a farm shop.  Most rural areas have farm shops and if you are cooking for yourself whilst taking a self catering break, it can be a real treat to buy some fresh produce from the local farm shop.  Most farm shops sell a range of goods from eggs to fruit, vegetables to meat and poultry.  Buying from a farm shop is a far more rustic experience than popping in to your local supermarket and you can often find the best quality and fresher food.  If you’re not lucky enough to have a farm shop where you live then do look out for them whilst taking a self catering holiday.  Some even have tea shops or cafes where you can chill out and enjoy some local produce or home made cake.  Have fun!
